Southbank Centre welcomes children and families throughout the year and provides world-class facilities to make your visit an enjoyable one. The site is fully accessible to pushchairs and wheelchair users.
All year round we have a range of events and exhibitions suitable for the people of all ages, many of them free:
We also have many interactive and educational activities for people of all ages.
Please note that some Southbank Centre events may not be suitable for young children. Babes in arms cannot be admitted to any concert except child-friendly events and we do not allow children under five into classical concerts with the exception of concerts specifically for families.
For our ticketed events a ticket is required for each child.
All our restaurants and cafes on site are child-friendly.
You are also welcome to bring our own food and drink and eat in Royal Festival Hall or Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer spaces, which have open seating and tables.
There are public toilets and baby changing facilities in Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Hayward Gallery. Our cloakrooms in Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall are open just before our concerts and are free. Read more information about our venues
For our ticketed events, a limited allocation of half-price tickets is available for ages 16 and under, as well as for recipients of Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit, and full-time students. These tickets can be booked online. Read more about concessions
We also have an Access list scheme for visitors with disabilities.
