Accessibility

For details of general accessibility issues please see our Access Information page.  Your Event Manager will be pleased to give you further information on event-specific access questions, for example, deliveries etc.

Health & safety

Fire certificates, material samples, risk assessments and method statements may be required for some events. PAT test certificates are required for all electrical items brought into Southbank Centre.

Please discuss with your Event Manager as early as possible if you intend to use any special effects, i.e. smoke machines, misters, pyrotechnics, etc.

Insurance

Hirers are advised that they must indemnify Southbank Centre against all losses, liabilities, claims and expenses in respect of injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising out of occupation of the premises. (Please refer to the Standard Conditions of Hire for full details).

Licenses

Southbank Centre is fully licensed both for the sale and service of alcohol, and for entertainment, including plays, films, live music, recorded music, dance, and similar eg circus. Full details of license times can be provided by your Event Manager.

Smoking

Southbank Centre is a non-smoking venue, including all balconies and terraces. We ask that guests wishing to smoke exit the building to do so.

Hotels

Southbank Centre's central location places it within easy walking distance a number of hotles, from budget to 5 star.
