Milena Ercolani was born in San Marino in 1963 and has written poetry since childhood. She co-founded the cultural and literary association, La Sammarina, in 2011, and is currently its president, and has been a member of the Sammarinese cultural academy, Le Tre Castella, since 2005. In 2010 she represented her country at the 20th International Festival of Poetry in Medellín and in 2012 she took part in the International Festival of Lima.
