Southwark Splash - A Bird's Eye View

Monday 2 July 2012

Prompted by the magpie and his song, and inspired by our Festival of the World, 600 Southwark children take a bird's eye view of the world encountering peacocks, birds of paradise, dodos, the Phoenix, doves and eagles in a feathery flight of fantasy filled with music, dance, theatre, animation and design.

Featuring the voice of Lemn Sissay as the magpie and steered by the creative team of Hannah Conway (musical director), Clare Whistler (director) and Matt Deely (designer), Southwark Splash is presented by Excellence in Southwark led by Joe Rea in partnership with Southwark Music Service and Southbank Centre Learning and Participation, and is produced by Richard Mallett Arts Management.
