Long established among the jewels in the crown of Glasgow's Celtic Connections festival, Transatlantic Sessions return to Royal Festival Hall following a sold-out show here in January 2011.

Due to public demand, choir seats have been made available for £15 and can be purchased by phoning 0844 847 9910 (£2.75 transaction fee) or by visiting one of our Southbank Centre Ticket offices in person (no transaction fee). These seats offer a unique view of the stage, but please note that they are behind the main speakers so the sound may be slightly affected and the view restricted. Book fast as there is a limited number of seats available.

Led by supreme traditional-style fiddler Aly Bain and dobro legend Jerry Douglas, they continue to revisit shared roots and forge new common ground between today's finest Celtic and Americana musicians.

This year's performance once again features a stellar line-up of special guests including Jerry Douglas, Aly Bain, Raul Malo, Eddi Reader, Karen Matheson, Tim O'Brien, Darrell Scott, Declan O'Rourke, Ruth Moody, John Doyle, Danny Thompson, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker, Donald Shaw, James MacKintosh, and Bruce Molsky.

As ever they are flanked by a crème-de-la-crème house band including Phil Cunningham, John Doyle, Russ Barenberg, Mike McGoldrick, John McCusker, James Mackintosh and Donald Shaw.
