Sounds From A Room: tUnE-yArDs

Since her 2009 debut album 'Bird-Brains', American singer-songwriter Merrill Garbus has built a reputation around her unusually fierce voice, striking lyrics and looping drums and bass.

With fellow bandmate Nate Brenner, her live shows have become legendary for the sheer energy and intensity of sound produced by only loop pedals, two mics, a snare drum, guitar and voice. Last year's album 'w h o k i l l' was acclaimed by both critics and fans alike.
