Join expert gamelan tutor Peter Smith for a masterclass on the basics of the Siter - the Javanese plucked zither, one of the softer-style embellishing instruments of the gamelan.
This two-hour session is designed to cater for participants with some prior gamelan-playing experience who are interested in learning about the more specialist instruments within the ensemble.
Participants on the siter will need to have strong thumb nails with which to pluck the strings!
This workshop is suitable for adults and young people over the age of 15 years.
