Members' Gamelan Session

Come and experience playing the beautiful Javanese gamelan percussion orchestra at Southbank Centre followed by a glass of wine after the workshop.

Regarded as one instrument played by lots of people, the gamelan generates rich, sonorous and mesmerising sounds.

Playing the gamelan is both a rewarding musical and social experience. It can inspire self-confidence, improve co-ordination and listening skills, encourage interaction and team-building and be a great chance to try something new.

No previous musical experience is necessary, just a willingness to sit on the floor, take off your shoes and have fun.
