Join expert gamelan tutors Robert Campion (Saturday 21 July) and Peter Smith (Sunday 22 July) for an introduction to the Gendèr - a beautiful Javanese metallophone played with two hands, one of the softer-style embellishing instruments of the gamelan.
This two-hour session is designed to cater for participants with some prior gamelan-playing experience who are interested in learning about the more specialist instruments within the ensemble.
These workshops are suitable for adults and young people over the age of 15 years.
