Part of Alchemy

Saturday 14 April 2012

Confluence brings together some of the country's most inspirational young musicians for a showcase of incredible talent across a range of musical genres.

Fusing a variety of Indian instruments together in specially composed music, Samyo, the National Indian Music Youth Orchestra, is known for its creative combinations of classical and contemporary styles, and for forging a new path in orchestral music playing.

Confluence brings together two unique collaborations with the supremely talented National Youth Jazz Collective and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

The orchestras perform music combining North and South Indian music traditions with contemporary elements and western influences to create a unique sound.
