Robert Schumann: Symphony No.2 in C

Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment
Marin Alsop conductor, presenter

The Works is the OAE's unique series that gives audiences a guided tour of selected classical masterpieces.

This time the series turns its attention to a perhaps slightly neglected symphony, Schumann's hugely powerful Symphony No.2.

Let conductor Marin Alsop and our presenter guide you through the music movement by movement, with a complete performance following a Q&A with the artists.

There's music in the bar before the concert together with a chance to meet musicians afterwards.
