Big Noise Director of Music Francis Cummings, in partnership with two of the Big Noise music teachers, leads a fun, interactive workshop that takes children through some basic techniques for building strong foundations in posture, instrument positioning, bow hold, and movement and action when playing. The children learn some repertoire used in the Big Noise programme.

Francis Cummings and the Big Noise music teachers explain the basic principles of the string teaching curriculum at Big Noise. The session highlights how this develops from pre-school through to beginner level and beyond, referring to examples from the workshop to demonstrate this practice.
