Folk music was the inspiration behind the work of many composers in the early 20th century, and in this performance Kathryn Tickell and Northern Sinfonia explore this phenomenon worldwide - from the North East's own WG Whittaker, passing through Spain, Australia, America to Armenia with the music of Falla, Grainger, Ives, Komitas and others.
