Eduardo Niebla, Flamenco Jazz

The Art of Spanish Guitar

Friday 20 April 2012

Hailed by The Guardian for his 'exquisite' guitar playing and lyrical, poignantly poetic style, Eduardo Niebla is one of the most potent forces in flamenco jazz fusion today - a technically brilliant, fantastically creative player and phenomenal live performer.

At this concert he is joined by Carl Herring on guitar, Dharmesh Parmar on Indian tabla and The Pavão String Quartet for an exhilarating night of passionate flamenco jazz.

During his acclaimed career Eduardo has worked with some of the top names in jazz, pop and world music including Lol Coxhill, George Michael, Craig David, the Dante String Quartet and Nishat Khan and has a wealth of international appearances to his name including the Cairo Jazz Festival last month where he received a standing ovation.

'The versatility with which he imbues his guitar is truly breathtaking, whether performing his poignantly poetic melodies or accompanying a truly fabulous transcontinental performance.' (The Scotsman)
