Tony Harrison

In his 75th year Tony Harrison gives a very special reading at the London Literature Festival.

Harrison's body of work ranges from the intimate sonnets depicting his working class background in Leeds, through film, poetry, acclaimed versions of Greek tragedies and opera libretti which have been performed around the world. Tony Harrison has received the Whitbread Poetry Prize and the European Prize for Literature among many awards. This event will include readings together with a look back at Tony Harrison's singular body of work.
