Live and on Loan

Tuesday 3 July 2012

This year the Poetry Library celebrates its collection now spanning over 100 years of poetry from 1912 to the present day. In the run up to London Literature Festival, poet and storyteller Rachel Rose Reid is in Residence, riffling through the Library's shelves and the memories of its members, as she shares her fresh discoveries with you on the LitFest blog.

Then, on July 3 join us for a special celebration on the Festival launch night. Rachel and Chris host their pick of poets, including Karen McCarthy Woolf, Malika Booker and Raymond Antrobus, who read their favourite pieces from the collection, as well as work of their own.

Come early for Chris' tour so you can find something to share. Reading desks replaced with comfy cushions, silent shushes swapped by joyful whoops. For one night only, the whole Library's on loan.

Admission is free but space is limited. To book your place email specialedition@poetrylibrary.org.uk

The Library Tour is from 6.30pm - 7pm - no booking necessary.
