Ben Goldacre
Ben Goldacre is a bestselling author, broadcaster, medical doctor and academic who specialises in analysing dodgy scientific claims by drug companies, newspapers, government reports, PR people and quacks. He believes that unpicking bad science is the only way to explain good science.
He returns to Southbank Centre to discuss his new book 'Bad Pharma', which turns a gimlet eye on the claims of the pharmaceutical industry.
Since 2003 he has written the 'Bad Science' column in the Guardian, and his book of the same title sold 400,000 copies and was published in 18 countries.
