Southbank Centre invites you to join us in celebrating some of the best poetry the world has to offer.

From the incredible linguistic acrobatics produced by Cambodian, tattoo artist and survivor of the US prison system, poet Kosal Khiev, and Botswana spoken-word artist TJ Dema, to the magnetic pull of Icelandic tales from poet Gerður Kristný, to the inspiring and passionate words of Palestinian spoken-word artist and activist Rafeef Ziadah, to cultural commentator and advocate for African writing, London-based Ghanaian poet Nii Ayikwei Parkes.

Compered by poet Jacob Sam-La Rose, Artistic Director of Shake the Dust, a national celebration of young people's voices and the power of spoken word.

This is a unique opportunity to bring students to see some of the most inspiring poets of our time united under one roof.

This is a schools event and is aimed at Key Stage 3 and 4. There is a translator for non-English speaking poets.

Tickets cost £3, but there is a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more. For group bookings please call 0844 875 0070 any day from Monday to Friday, between 9.30am - 5.30pm.
