Friday 3 August 2012

In 2011 Diamanda Galás and Davide Pepe gave the world premiere of their film 'Schrei 27', the subject of which is the torture of an individual in isolation.

Galás gives a lecture and answers questions on her work as an activist, musician and artist, and also discusses the inspiration behind the film following the screening of 'Schrei 27'.

It recently premiered at the Radical Art Festival of Copenhagen to rave reviews, calling the work 'a masterpiece.'

'Schrei 27 is political without being political. Critical, without using a word. A defense of the defenseless without a single slogan. A work of art about the emotions at its tormented, outer physical boundary.' (POLITIKEN, Denmark.)
