What we require | Southbank Centre
SecurityTo enable us to offer high-quality exhibitions, venues must guarantee to provide specified security and environmental conditions and to follow hanging instructions. The exhibition pages state the security categories. You are reminded that it may be advisable to contact the National Security Adviser in order to establish the security levels of individual exhibition spaces.
Two-dimensional works are normally mirror-plated to the display surface. Alternative hanging methods must be approved in writing at the time of the exhibition booking.
Except in special circumstances, two-way transport costs are included in the hire fee. Security Category A and B exhibitions are normally delivered by our own vans and installations supervised by a member of Hayward Touring staff.
Security Category C exhibitions are delivered by UK parcel carrier vans. It is the responsibility of each venue to help load parcel carrier vehicles and to install and dismantle the works without Hayward Touring assistance.
Exhibitions are normally covered by government indemnity. Food and drink must not be allowed in the areas containing indemnified or insured material.
Details about exhibition fees can be found on the individual exhibition pages.
Galleries are asked to note the special requirements for every exhibition, particularly those concerning size, security and lighting, before making a booking. To make a booking, please apply in writing by email indicating your preferred and alternative dates.
Venues are required to logo and line credit Hayward Touring on all public announcements, press releases, invitations, posters, signs and other promotional material.
High quality, fully illustrated books are published for most major Hayward Touring exhibitions (Category A). Venues are required to purchase a minimum of 50 copies at a discount of 15 per cent on the exhibition price and further catalogues can be supplied on a sale or return basis. Publication prices vary with each exhibition and are below the usual recommended retail price.
