Monooka's Caravan

Monooka, the award-winning Romanian singer-songwriter, puppeteer and actress, performs traditional songs from the Carpathian mountains in with three British musicians - fiddler Meg Hamilton, guitarist Matt Bacon and double bassist Paul Moylan.

With refreshing spontaneity and a distinctive voice, Monooka blends fiery Gypsy music with the eclectic Romanian songs of her roots.

She mixes story telling with marionettes, soulful songs and unique artistic freedom.

The Incredible Book Eating Boy

This exciting adaptation by Bootworks Theatre of Oliver Jeffers' award-winning children's book follows the story of a boy with a voracious appetite for books - in fact, he eats them!

Henry loves books, but not like you and I like books - he loves to eat them! Better still, Henry realises that the more books he eats, the smarter he gets.

But a book-eating diet isn't the healthiest of habits, as Henry soon finds out.

Come and see this unique individual performance in Bootwork's Black Box theatre, a five-minute show using live performance, puppetry and projection.

Suitable for ages four and over.

This performance is for one child at a time. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are also welcome to attend on their own.
Tickets £6 per performance (price includes either one adult and a child, or one adult only)

There are ten performances an hour. Performances are at the following times:

You must book one of these specific time slots. It's a tight time schedule, so please ensure you arrive ten minutes early for your performance to ensure that you don't miss the show. Unfortunately latecomers cannot be admitted.

Before and after the performance all are welcome to join us in Henry's Room. Here you can find books to read, cosy lighting, colouring packs and comfortable bean bags. Stay as long as you like!
