The Garden
Graeae and Strange Fruit present 'The Garden' - gravity-defying outdoor theatre in three stories of love, consequence and hope.
A troupe of nomadic story-keepers (the Keeper of Dreams, the Keeper of History, the Keeper of Song and the Keeper of Names) share three stories of love, innocence and hope. For a brief moment in time, the Keepers open their garden-ritual - a ceremony of renewal, transformation and harmony.
Music fills the space as artists take to four-metre-high sway poles to create new stories in the air.
'The Garden' was commissioned as part of Unlimited, the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad programme, from an original idea by Greenwich+Docklands International Festival.
