Liberty Festival 10 Year Anniversary Celebrations

Saturday 1 September 2012

Liberty, presented by the Mayor of London, is London's annual deaf and disabled arts festival. 2012 marks 10 years of Liberty and we are celebrating this landmark anniversary by programming a showcase of artists from previous years together with some new and specially commissioned work.

Liberty 2012 will take place at several locations on the first weekend of the Paralympic Games and will feature a programme of UK and international artists.

At Southbank Centre, Liberty 2012 hosts a mixed, international programme that includes a cabaret evening in The Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall, featuring Liz Carr, Ruby Wax, Laurence Clark, Jonny Crescendo and others.

This event is BSL interpreted and captioned, and assistance is available on request for blind and visually impaired visitors, including guiding and narration.

DJs play on the riverside terrace throughout the day and there is a new visual art installation on display.
