50 Months and Counting
with Kevin Anderson, Giles Fraser, Saci Lloyd, Caroline Lucas and George Monbiot
Part of Literature Sept-Dec 12
Monday 1 October 2012The climate clock is ticking, normal isn't working and on the day that marks just 50 months to go before humanity crosses a critical threshold for global warming, five speakers have 15 minutes each to tell the story of how things might work out and what they will now do differently.
What lies in store? Can we make a rapid transition and come out better the other side, or is the future altogether darker?
Join us for an evening brought to you in partnership with nef, The Guardian, 5x15 and onehundredmonths.org with Giles Fraser, former Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral, Green Party MP Caroline Lucas, Guardian columnist George Monbiot, Prof Kevin Anderson, Head of Climate Change & Energy Research and Deputy Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, as well as Saci Lloyd, author of 'The Carbon Diaries'.
