Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment | Southbank Centre
Resident at Southbank Centre
The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s trademark diversity is in full evidence in its 2011/12 season. Whether your passion is Wagner on period instruments, discovering the music of JS Bach’s son CPE Bach or enjoying a musical tour of Baroque Italy, the season contains something for every musical taste, and all played with the Orchestra’s trademark vitality and verve. Running alongside early evening concerts, the Night Shift is also back, presenting classical music in a contemporary late-night atmosphere, and there’s also a full programme of events designed to let you get closer to the music through pre-concert talks, post-show Q&As, a study day and Insight Clubs.
